Until October 2001, the CCAQ(PER) was the component of the Consultative Committee on Administrative Questions, which addressed personnel and general administrative questions.
It was the central forum in which the organizations of the UN common system developed and reviewed major policy issues in the area of human resources and general administration.
It was the mechanism whereby ACC coordinated and harmonized HR management policies and practices. It developed policy statements adopted by ACC on HR management reform, improving the status of women, work/family issues, combating sexual harassment in the work place. Its work is now carried out by the High-Level on Management and, in particular, its Human Resources Network.
